Fried Turtle

Ingredients

  • 1 snapping turtle
  • Flour
  • Cornmeal
  • Lard

Directions

Clean and cut up which can be done with the aid of a sharp knife. Roll meat in flour and cornmeal mix. Fry in lard. When browned on both sides, add 2 cups of water, simmer for one hour. Delicious turtle meat has both white and dark meat and is very tasty.
